LayWills (Aalayah Williams) is a female MC born and raised in Charleston, SC. She has always been a poet and fell in love with the power of storytelling at the age of 7. She didn’t began rapping until her college years at Winthrop University. There, she would participate in many freestyle competitions and cyphers, often time being the only female to do so. Shortly after receiving her bachelor’s degree, she decided to pursue her acting and music career in Los Angeles, CA.

She has a list of achievements such as her first E.P. “Preschool” on all platforms, participating in BET’s “The Next Rapper” 2019 series and a variety of commercials, plays, and films. Her musical influences are Tupac, Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, MC Lyte, Joyner Lucas, Queen Latifah, and Nas. With her sound, LayWills is determined to blend modern hooks of today’s Rap with verses that feature the lyricism and storytelling creativity of Hip-Hop within the 90’s.
